Word and puzzle game

ZINK!

ZINK! is a mobile word game built around a clue and a letter count. Revealing letters costs points, making the decision to solve without help central to each round. It offers Turkish and English content, daily challenges and crossword puzzles.

I’m Mustafa Erhan Kaya. My work on ZINK! covers game and application development, the iOS release, backend systems and content delivery.

The problem behind the game

A word game needs to remain responsive offline, give players consistent conditions in a daily challenge and make scores verifiable. Supporting Turkish and English also means designing words, lengths and clues for each language independently.

A replayable game engine

The round engine is pure Dart, separated from Flutter, networking and the device clock. Controlled letter ordering and time inputs make the same round reproducible. That separation supports both focused tests and score verification.

Offline play and score verification

Versioned language packs support local play on the device. Daily rounds use shared server sets; submitted round events allow the server to calculate the score. Offline interaction and competitive verification are handled as separate responsibilities.

Two languages, separate content

The Turkish and English word collections are independently written rather than direct translations. Each puzzle fits its language’s words and letter counts. Content updates preserve existing puzzles and player progress.
